Leopard, Leather & a Little Bit of Buffy: Our Shoot with Jojo Vavoom & DojaXTwat

Sometimes you plan a retro fashion shoot and end up doing your first-ever Buffy the Vampire Slayer cosplay in the same day. That’s exactly what happened when Jojo Vavoom rolled into the studio—serving leopard print, leather gloves, and vintage edge—and brought the kind of energy that turns a regular shoot into something way cooler.

🐆 Jojo Vavoom: Retro, Funky, and Fully Styled

From the second he walked in, Jojo brought a look. We’re talking leopard print realness, sleek leather pants, and attitude for days. The vibe was funky, retro, and fashion-forward in the best possible way—think vintage magazine cover meets alt nightlife meets “yes, this belongs in a gallery.”

We played with lighting, color, and poses that felt classic but bold—shooting both studio portraits and more editorial-style shots that really let his personality come through.

🧛‍♂️ Enter: Buffy & Spike (Yes, Really)

Midway through the shoot, Jojo teamed up with our friend London (aka @dojaxtwat) to do something totally unexpected: a Buffy and Spike cosplay shoot. Neither of us are die-hard Buffy fans (full transparency), but we were hyped to provide the space, lighting, and vibes for them to bring their vision to life.

Jojo transformed into Spike with that signature smirk and swagger, while London embodied Buffy’s fierce energy. The result? A moody, dramatic set of portraits that totally captured the dynamic of the characters—even if we were low-key Googling references on the side.

📸 First Cosplay, But Definitely Not the Last

This was our first time doing a cosplay shoot, and it ended up being one of the most fun and creatively freeing sessions we’ve done. There’s something really special about helping people bring their fandoms to life—especially when they show up with costumes, chemistry, and creativity like Jojo and London did.
